I do believe that teachers should offer a nice and friendly environment for language learners. Once students feel right and comfortable in the classroom, this is the first basic step for them to learn well. In addition, teachers should take advantage of various teaching methods and strategies to arouse learners’ motivation and interest; consequently, they will hold the belief that learning itself is fun and meaningful. Furthermore, making errors in class should be allowed and learners should think making errors in learning a new language is a natural thing- a progress of learning. Thus, with the friendly environment, diverse teaching methods and strategies, and the freedom to make mistakes, students will learn a new language well and even continue learning it after class or during their whole life.

That’s right! If a teacher can stimulate students’ motivation, it’s a good beginning of learning language. But how to maintain their interests and thirst for knowledge is a challenge worthy of brainstorming.
Welcome to see new post in my blog!

Motivation really plays an important role in the learning process. However, how to let teaching capitalize on learners’ intrinsic motivation to facilitate their learning is meaningful for us to consider.

I would like to point out one way to maintain students’ motivation is to create a real-live environment for them to use the new language. For example, students should have some oppotunity to “act” in front of others by using the target language. Or teachers can build some contacts with American school in Taiwan, so students could have chances to have culture and language exchange with the native speakers. Also, through the usage of internet, students can have pen pals from other countries and chat with natives via MSN or SKYPE online engines. ( This technological learning could be fullfilled only when schools could offer the sufficient facilities.)
